The Central Commission of External Relations worked in Vinh Phuc province

On 8/15/2016, the Mission of the Central Commission of External Relations led by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong, Deputy Head of of the Central Commission for External Relations had a meeting with Vinh Phuc's representatives on implementing foreign policies of the State and Party in the province. Working with the delegation, there were Mr. Tran Van Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Duy Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments and branches.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for External Relations awarded a medal for Mr. Tran Van Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong and his delegation heard the general introduction of the recent socio-economic situation of the province, especially since the re-establishment. Along with the strong growth of the socio - economic situation, security and defense, the province also achieved many important results in external activities. Particularly, international cooperation activities of the province have been extended and deepened; moreover, maintaining good relations with local authorities of some countries like Laos, South Korea, Japan..., Vinh Phuc has actively explored, established and expanded cooperation relation with many other countries in the world; paid attention to people diplomacy, the work on Vietnamese abroad; external propaganda and image promotion have widely been practiced through the mass media and in various languages, thus contributing to enhance the position and image of land and people of Vinh Phuc to international friends …

Besides the above results, the province's external activities has also faced many difficulties and challenges in deploying and implementating conclusions, resolutions and decisions of the Politburo on affairs activities; the competence of staffs in charge of international integration sector are limited, constantly changed so that cooperative activities and calling for non-governmental aid have not been proportional with potentials and strengthens of the province. Friendship activities with local authorities have not achieved results as expected due to a lack of uniformity in the coordination mechanism and information processing.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary Tran Van Vinh proposed the Central Commission for External Relations to: (1) strengthen the instruction and implementation of new documents on foreign affairs; (2) regularly organize professional training courses for officers and employees of Departments of Foreign Affairs, especially the Party's foreign affairs and people diplomacy; (3) direct specialized agencies to coordinate with Vietnam representative offices in foreign nations to build documents on countries, regions with advantageous economic and cultural cooperation, so that local diplomatic agencies can chose, advise and propose to the provincial leaders in order to expand cooperation, friendship, and investment promotion ...

Highly appreciated the success of Vinh Phuc in foreign affairs in the past time, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong proposed that the province should quickly solve these limitations, keep abreast of the views and policies of the Party and State; innovate and exploit effectively the potentials and advantages of the province in external activities for the further contribution to the overall success of the country and improve the position of Vietnam in the international arena.

On this occasion, the Central Commission of External Relations awarded the medal for three provincial leaders who have major contribution to this work.

In the afternoon, the Mission visited and worked at several foreign capital factories operating in the province.
